Liangrui Pan

Liangrui Pan is currently a Research Fellow at the College of Computing and Data Science, Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore), under the supervision of Prof. Yang Liu. He received his Ph.D. in Electronic Information from Hunan University in June 2026, and obtained his master's degree from Prince of Songkla University under the supervision of Prof. Mitchai Chongcheawchamnan. His research focuses on artificial intelligence for healthcare, with particular interests in medical image analysis, computational pathology, multimodal learning, cancer bioinformatics, and precision oncology.

My recent work investigates weakly supervised learning for whole-slide images, tumor-microenvironment modeling, radiopathological fusion, graph neural networks, multi-omics representation learning, and clinically interpretable AI. I have authored or co-authored more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences including Nature Communications, Cancer Research, npj Precision Oncology, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, IJCAI, and IEEE BIBM.

Furthermore, he has 13 patent applications currently under public substantive review, 7 granted patents, and holds 2 granted software copyrights. His honors and awards include the Outstanding Graduate Student of Hunan University (2024, 2025), the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students (2025), the Outstanding Graduate of Hunan University (2026), and the Outstanding Graduate of Hunan Province (2026).
